#MITy Cake
Have you made a CAKE that helps you prepare for study before? Don’t laugh… it really can.
Simply follow the STEPS below to have your cake and eat it too!
The #MITy CAKE recipe uses the 4-ingredient chocolate cake recipe from *Newideafood.com.au- with thanks!. We then make it ‘MITy’ by adding the ingredients for study preparation- keep reading and you will understand………..
This 4-ingredient chocolate cake recipe is the best you'll ever try! Quick and easy and with a surprise ingredient that will blow your mind, it's the new chocolate cake idea you've been waiting for. Perfect for a study preparation treat!
Ingredients- you will need:
- 2 litre tub Bulla Real Choc Chip Ice Cream
- 440g box golden butter cake mix
- 3 eggs
- 1 cup Betty Crocker Creamy Deluxe Chocolate frosting
+ to make it MITy you will need to start with a pinch of ambition, add a cup of determination and finish with a sprinkling of resilience
Method:
Well… if you have made it this far, I dare say you already offer this recipe a pinch of ambition. Whether we are currently studying or have been on a long break- we need to be ambitious to make our cake, or ourselves ‘rise to the challenge’. Otherwise it could be a recipe for disaster...
Now back to the baking:
STEP 1: Grease a 20cm round cake pan. Line base and side with baking paper, extending paper 2cm above pan edges.
STEP 2: Spoon 3 cups of the ice-cream into a large bowl, reserving remaining ice-cream for another use. Stand ice-cream at room temperature for about 45 minutes, or until completely melted. (You will need 2 cups.)
And now to add a cup of determination you should take a moment to reflect on your values and goals. What do you want to achieve this year for the ‘future you’ to look back and be proud or grateful? Is it catching up on study opportunities missed in 2020- or making sure you graduate in 2021? Now is the time to get determined to achieve your goals… ambition only takes you so far and then determination is eggscelent to make sure you end up getting your just desserts...
STEP 3: Sift cake mix into the large bowl of an electric mixer, reserving icing sachet for another use. Add eggs and melted ice-cream. Beat on low speed until combined.
STEP 4: Increase speed to medium. Beat for a further 2 minutes, or until thick. Pour into prepared pan. Smooth over top.
STEP 5: Cook in a moderately slow oven (160C) for about 55 minutes, or until a skewer inserted into the centre comes out clean. Remove from oven. Stand in pan for 15 minutes. Turn out onto a wire rack to cool completely.
Before adding the frosting, you need to make sure you have a sprinkling of resilience to finish what you’ve started. Most things are easy to start…. for example, many new year’s resolutions are often started but soon forgotten. You a likely to need a generous sprinkle of resilience to reach the finish line. Be batter at achieving your goals than last year, have some fundant along the way and don’t cook yourself! Be sure to use our MITy support options to help you through..
STEP 6: Spread frosting over top of cake. Serve cut into wedges.
You did it! Remember, you cant spell flourish without flour!

TIP! Try making cake with a different flavoured ice-cream – try strawberry or hokey pokey instead. Cake is best made on the day of serving, but can be made up to one day ahead.
